Automatic age estimation via faces is one of the dominant topics nowadays. In this paper, we proposed a novel approach for age estimation from RGB color face image.
Despite the large number of methods for age estimation, their performance remains unsatisfactory for RGB images. The idea is to extract features from three color band instead of extract features from gray-scale. The experimental results show the superiority of our approach compared to that of the state-of-the-art methods that use the PAL dataset.
